Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008Depending on whether your device has the Windows Mobile or CE.net operating system, your exact screenshots may look a little different. However, the steps involved in setting up your wireless profile will be the same for both operating systems.
1. Locate the wireless settings icon on the desktop.

2. Single-click the icon to show the wireless options. Click Manage Profiles.

3. Single click and hold until you are presented with the pop up menu with a variety of options. Select Add.

4. Enter the name of your network, and the network SSID.

5. Click Next (to pass the Profile ID screen without any changes).
6. Click Next (to pass the Operating Mode screen without any changes).
7. Click Next (to pass the Authentication screen without any changes).
8. Click the Encryption drop down menu and select the security encryption used on your network. Click Next.

9. Enter your security key. After your key is entered - click Next.

10. Set the IP Address Entry field to either Static or DHCP. For this example we will choose DHCP. Click Next.

11. Set the Transmit Power field to Automatic. Click Next.

12. Set the Battery Usage field to CAM. This prevents the radio from going asleep. Click Finish.

13. Click OK to exit the Manage Profiles screen.

14. You are now at the Desktop. Once again we will click on the wireless icon in the lower right of the screen.

15. When the pop up menu appears click Options.

16. Unless you are going to be connecting the devices to something other than 802.11 a/b/g access points, uncheck the Ad-Hoc Networks checkbox.

17. Click the Drop Down arrow and select Regulatory.

18. Uncheck the Enable 802.11d checkbox.

19. Click Save. Click ok.
