Installing DataWedge on an MC9000 Series Device
Tuesday, September 9th, 2008The Symbol/Motorola MC9000 devices are shipped without Wedge Software. Wedge Software is typically used to scan data into any application on the device. The following outlines the procedure for installing DataWedge onto a Symbol/Motorola mobile computer.

It is recommended that you install DataWedge before any other configurations to the device are done. The complete install of DataWedge will require you to cold boot your device, potentially erasing prior configurations.
