Food Processing

Quality control in the food processing industry is imperative - not only with food, but with the data that is associated with producing and selling the product. If a food processor cannot produce the data that clearly identifies the source of a problem, and then identify individual lots or containers of material to be recalled, the FDA will insist on a blanket recall.

Furthermore, the FDA regulations that stemmed from the Bioterrorism ACT of 2002 now requires that food processors be able to rapidly trace back from contaminated finished goods to raw materials used in their manufacture. Food processors are also required to be able to track where all contaminated materials are in their facilities and where they have been shipped to.
